“A good hard spanking is sometimes necessary”
When we look at this type of spanking content on the Internet, we are left wondering how often a 
spanking takes place in the home. First let’s look at a recent report as to if people support spanking or not. A recent study (2014) by the University of Chicago posed a question about people’s thoughts on spanking. They were not just asked if they think spanking is ok, the exact question was “a good hard spanking is sometimes necessary to discipline a child?”. This question was asked to those as young as 18, all the way up to the senior population. The results below show, that on the average, 7 out of 10 adults in the US not only believe in spanking, but believe in a “good hard spanking”.
A further breakdown of the surveyed population showed an interesting trend, it is the new parents that believe in spanking the most. You might think that the trend is going down, but this survey shows that 74% of those 18-29 believe in a good hard spanking, fully 10% more than those over the age of 65.
Harris Interactive did a giant survey last year looking into many aspects of corporal punishment in the home. Their results showed 81% of Americans believed that spanking was appropriate. Obviously this will vary based on where you are at in the country. The South weighed in with 86% still in support of spanking, followed by the Midwest with 83%. The study found that 87% of Republicans favored spanking their children, while
78% of Democrats agreed. When those aged 18-22 in 2014 were asked if they were spanked 77% said they were. That matches up pretty good with the numbers above from new parents, in which 74% said that a hard spanking is necessary.
As far as how much force was used and whether it was justified, Harris came up with the following. When asked if they were spanked with “too much force” 79% said that they were not. When asked if they 
deserved the spankings they received or not 66% said that the spanking was deserved. When asked if there were times that they knew they deserved a spanking and did not get one, 51% said that this was the case.
This provides us with a wealth of spanking information and shows that it is not only alive and well, but new parents are more likely to spank than their parents. It is pretty clear that if you live in the South and have Republican parents, you can count on getting your ass torn up on a regular basis. The other results
show that for the most part, kids and teens are getting a good spanking when they deserve it, and the amount of pain being applied to their bottoms is justified. While you would think most would be bitter about being spanked, more than half believe there were many things that they should have been spanked for but were not.
So, it is pretty clear from these statistics that right now, at this very moment, there are some belts being pulled from belt loops and bottoms being bared. In the Deep South, when a young lady’s behavior requires it, in 9 out of 10 households, she is
getting a spanking. Of those 9 young ladies about to get a spanking, at least 7 of them are going to get “a good hard spanking”. The statistics show that of those 9 young ladies getting their bottom worn out with dad’s belt, at least 6 of them fully feel that they deserve it. Not only that, of these 9 young ladies, 5 of them feel that there were other things that they have done that should have resulted in their butts being blistered.
